How to Enrol at Waitakere College Enrolling - please phone the College Reception on 836 7890 to arrange an appointment time. Please note it is important to enrol in plenty of time: - If Waitakere College is your home zone you need to ensure your child does not miss out on access to a special programme or subject he or she is interested in
- If you are out of our home zone, please phone Reception on 836 7890 to make an appointment time. There are still a few vacancies in Year 9 and limited vacancies in Yr 10-13.
- For New Zealand citizens and permanent residents
Note: There are different procedures for International Students. You should contact the International Department to find out about this.
Enrolment Procedure Whether you live in or out of our home zone you are still welcome to make an appointment to find out about the College. Parents or caregivers who wish to enrol your child at Waitakere College, please do the following: Phone the school to make an appointment unless you are coming at one of the advertised times for enrolments. Bring: - The student! We cannot do enrolments unless both student and parent/caregiver are present.
- Either a birth certificate or passport as proof of the child’s age and identity
- Evidence that you live in the school zone e.g. a phone or power bill
- A copy of a recent school report for the child
- Emergency and medical contact details
Complete the following forms as far as you can: - Enrolment form, including emergency and medical contacts
- The Waitakere Way Code of Conduct (to be read and signed by the parent and the student)
- Computer and Internet Use Agreement (to be signed by parent and student)
- Subject choices. You will be asked to choose optional subjects at the enrolment interview

- Out of Zone Applications
Full information about the zone is available from the school office. You are welcome to make an appointment find out more about the school and to complete enrolment . However you will also need to fill in the out of zone application form. Your name will go into a ballot for available places. Your chances of gaining a place are good provided you make your application in time for the ballot. Uniform The approved uniform is sold and supplied through the school’s Student Centre. Uniform items can be purchased on any school day between 9.30am - 2.30pm and also on a number of days prior to the start of the school year. Stationery Stationery and some texts are sold through the school’s resource centre. |
