Waitakere College Fair Play Agreements
For the Player
Every time that you play for Waitakere College you are representing your school, your classmates and your teachers. This is a big responsibility and you must ensure that your conduct is always appropriate and respectful.
When representing the college you must adhere to the following expectations:
· play sport for the enjoyment
· strive to achieve your personal best
· respect the rules of your sport
· recognise good play of opponents and team mates
· play fair at all times and allow your captain, coach, or manager to deal with
disputes
· Control your temper and language.
Failure to comply with these rules will result in a disciplinary hearing with the Sport Committee.
For the Parent
We appreciate and welcome all the support our students receive when representing our school in their chosen sporting field.
Please remember that when supporting a Waitakere College team you are also required to adhere to the following expectations.
· Remember that players play for their enjoyment
· Reinforce the fact that an honest effort is as important as winning
· Respect the officials and their decisions and never question their honesty
· Encourage good sporting behaviour and promote Fair Play.
· Do not interfere with the play or competition
· Be courteous and respectful to other spectators, all competitors, coaches and
event organisers
· Refrain from the use of foul or profane language
· Refrain from the use of physical force of any kind
Failure to comply with these rules may result in a discipline from the Auckland Secondary School Heads Association or the relevant organisation/facility.
